Loretta’s Deep Dish Pizza is the creation of restauranteur Mark Sellers, based on his love for his best friend’s family pizza. As a boy growing up in Michigan, Mark’s best friend Tommy would invite him to his family’s house to eat deep dish pizza – homemade by Tommy’s Aunt Loretta — a few times a year. Aunt Loretta lived in the little house next door to Tommy’s and was quite a character. She had a Chicago accent, and she never missed an opportunity to tell a good story or a joke.
Fast forward many years, and Mark named his new restaurant in her honor. Along with chef Richard Williams (who is a certified “pizzaiolo”), Mark has tried to recreate the taste of Loretta’s homemade deep dish pizza the way he remembered it all those years ago.
Looking for a website to match the big flavors of his homemade pizza, Mark turned to CurlyHost to design and build a home page and menu that brought the richness and character of his pizza to the digital world. CurlyHost delivered a landing page with all the atmosphere and flair of Loretta’s Chicago kitchen with dramatic skyline backdrops, bold accent colors, and flavorful imagery.
Organization and functionality are key features of the site. The menu is easy to read and fun to scroll, broken up with delicious imagery and divided into columns that stack for mobile views. The call-to-action buttons pop in a rich green with yellow letters, drawing the eye in multiple places on the site making it so easy to order the restaurant was flooded with business within hours of opening.
