Pet Tales ( @pettalesrescue ) is a non-profit rescue organization serving the greater West Michigan area. They are dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats left homeless in public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia, pets given up by their owners due to difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect.

Animals in their care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. They all pets, regardless of age, breed, or ease of placement, which makes their rescue stand out from so many others.

CurlyHost, with the help of fantastic illustrations by Libby Vanderploeg ( @libbyvanderploeg ), helped bring digital life to a project that has helped so many people’s physical lives. The website now has a level of play appropriate for animal lovers and helps navigate users through the adoption and placement process. The site also features an online store where you can support Pet Tales in a variety of different ways.

HeroRaise works tirelessly to serve our nation’s Heros, raising thousands of dollars for a variety of causes. With a growing following, HeroRaise needed a website with more functionality that allowed for automatic donations and payments, financial tracking, and less hands-on management. They were also looking to expand the site’s offerings with memorials and provider listings free of charge.
With a long list of needs and wants, HeroRaise turned to CurlyHost to design and build the new site. CurlyHost simplified the fundraising management immensely, creating a crowdfunding site that allows Heroes to create and manage their own campaigns completely free. Users looking to donate can browse listings by category or search by keyword or location. Donations are a simple checkout process and social sharing is seamlessly integrated to encourage spreading the word.
CurlyHost also added an obituary board where any user can post a picture and a message honoring a loved one completely free. Where other websites might rely on advertising or charge hefty fees to post an obituary, CurlyHost designed a simple, low-maintenance solution that allows HeroRaise to offer the service at no charge to the poster.

Robyn Gobbel is a trauma therapist turned speaker, writer, and educator. She has a
big personality that loves all things pink and sparkly, while also being very
passionate about neuroscience, understanding the human brain, and healing
trauma. As a speaker, her vibrant personality and empathetic understanding of
people and trauma allow her to connect deeply with her audience and create an
engaging and meaningful experience.

CurlyHost did a complete revamp of Robyn’s former site, starting with a cleaned-up
layout and adding in a new color palette as fresh and playful as she is. Her live
training events and tickets are fully integrated into the site, so clients can register
without clicking away to an Eventbrite site and getting confused. Her speaking page
has fully embedded speaking samples that make it easy to get a feel for Robyn’s flair
and book her right through the website.

Revolution Farms is just off a quiet country road in Caledonia, Michigan where they’ve created the ideal indoor environment for fresh lettuce to thrive during every month of the Midwest climate. Inside the facility is a 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art greenhouse and an on-site packaging line.

By blending technology and biology, supply chain, and advanced agriculture, their farm harnesses natural light, automatically adjusts temperature, wind, shade, humidity, and carbon dioxide. Their fresh greens are cut at the peak of growth, immediately packaged on-site and delivered to your local grocery store in 1-2 days.
