Christina Mrozik

Christina Mrozik has spent the majority of her life observing the natural world and the types of relationships that form within it.  Her artwork is a beautiful representation of the natural world and Christina’s mind.  This site needed to reflect a unique harmony and flow that would be intuitive and allow the artwork to speak for itself.  The site is responsive and has an integrated store for fans to purchase prints.

Parsley Mediterranean Grille

Parsley Mediterranean Grille is a mediterranean restaurant downtown Grand Rapids.  The location is perfect for all sorts of downtown events serving fresh and nutritious food and smoothies.  Their site needed new imagery, a responsive framework and their menu needed a facelift.  In addition we included a footer with a map and links to their Facebook page.

Thompson Remodeling

Thompson Remodeling is a design/build residential remodeling firm in Grand Rapids, MI, helping busy individuals Love Where They Live.  In collaboration with Company Bell, the site is fully responsive and has a complete design overhaul.

Nehemiah Center

The Nehemiah Center is a community of service and learning which trains lay and pastoral leaders in an integral, biblical worldview in Managua, Nicaragua.  This site is multi-lingual and helps direct both national and international users to relavent information about this non-profit.  The design is very simple with a textured background and simple font.  This site is also responsive and integrates social media into the layout.

Kim Brock Photography

Kim Brock Photography is a family and wedding photographer from the Lansing area.  Needing a fresh look to help jump start her business after moving back to Lansing, we developed an image friendly look that would also look great on all mobile, tablet and desktop devices.  The site also utilizes Zenfolio, a great photography eCommerce solution.

Kenley Event Design

Kenley Event Design is a West Michigan based, full-service event planning company.  Designed, photographed and art directed by Carson Davis Brown, this one page, responsive, scrolling layout maintains it’s clean and classic look on all mobile, tablet and desktop devices.

Friends of Children’s Village

Friends of Children’s Village helps provides food, education, and medical care for orphaned and destitute children in Bapatla, India.  With board members across the US, Friend’s of Children’s Village (FCV) needed to have an easy way for people from all over the globe to be able to contribute and update the site in the unique manner that WordPress allows.  With a design that mimics the Indian Flag, the site is responsive, allows for Paypal donations to the organization, and is connected to various forms of social media.

OMAJE

OMAJE is a Grand Rapids based up and coming urban streetwear clothing brand. The site had to reflect the simplicity of the clothing line and yet needed the latest in shopping cart functions, integrated social media, responsive design, and all sorts of SEO functions to help launch the site.

Pro Shine Automotive Detailing

Pro Shine Automotive Detailing LLC is a new automotive detailing company located in Grand Rapids, MI.  The site is fully responsive, has an integrated calendar that links to Google+, and has a consistant social media branding package.

The Jon Hartman Photography Co.

The Jon Hartman Photography Co. is a husband and wife Grand Rapids based photography company specializing in wedding photos, engagement photos, family photos and senior photos.  The site needed a clean and SEO friendly layout and structure, focusing on good design and their great photos.  With a responsive layout, custom blog page, custom fonts, and easy to find social media buttons, the site will allow users to find whatever content is necessary.

Gretchen Minnhaar

Gretchen Minnhaar is an award winning artist, producing both installation and metal arts.  Originally from Argentina, Gretchen Minnhaar now resides in Grand Rapids.  Her artwork is found throughout the country and is also found scattered throughout Grand Rapid’s hospitals and offices.  This website required a simple and clean design.  With a better web structure and more focused content, this website will be easier to find through Google.  The site is also responsive.

Pathway of Hope

Pathway of Hope’s Youth and Family Services is a state-licensed, residential treatment facility for girls, ages ten through eighteen. They are a non-denominational, non-profit, Christian organization, combining professional excellence with faith-based values. They provide twenty-four hour care and professional treatment in a relaxed home setting.

I came on this project to help rebrand and update their site.  The design of this site is reflective of the audience: both the girls that would be going there and the parents who found the site in the first place.  They needed to be able to find the information quickly and feel like this would be an uplifting, safe place.

Gina Marie Jewels

Gina Marie Jewels is a high fashion jewelry seller located in the Grand Rapids area.  This website needed to be easy for customers to check out, easy to navigate and easy on the eyes.  With an elegant font and color palate this site radiates femininity and class.  The difficulty in e-Commerce sites is making sure the shopping cart works properly, which it does.  This site is also responsive.

thethirdchair

thethirdchair has been counseling high schoolers, college kids, post college kids and their parents in the Grand Rapids area since 2008.  After four years, their website needed a major facelift.  Utilizing a user friendly interface that would welcome their mobile users and any other device that might be used to find their site, thethirdchair is now prepared for the next generation of people who need their services.

The Make Your Own Zone

The Make Your Own Zone is the brain child of Beverly, a local do-it-yourself kind of gal.  She had her site hosted through Blogger for a few years and needed an upgraded look and functionality to her site.  We rebranded her image to be bright and beautiful and easy for people to find more of her content.  It was important for there to be adspace on every page without the ads taking over the content on the page.  With the functionality of WP Beverly will be able to continue to add content with ease!

Pop Scholars

Pop Scholars is an improv comedy group based in Grand Rapids, MI.  This troupe of comedians needed a new face to their site.  Updating content with great photos, text, and links, this site face-lift now integrates their other social media outlets.  The site is also responsive which meets the needs of all of their mobile and tablet users!

Paul Amenta

Paul Amenta is a local artist, teacher, curator, father, husband, man about town and man’s man.  Curating shows throughout Grand Rapids, Paul has made a name for himself as being the go to guy for anything crazy and fantastic in the art world.  He needed a personal website, however, that would showcase some of the artwork he him self created before he became all about curating other people’s work.  This site is simple, responsive, and to the point… just like Paul.

Brambles Woodwork

Brambles Woodwork is a business based out of Grand Rapids, MI, selling unique pieces of jewelry from found wood around the state.  The owner, Jarrod Napierkowski, has been selling his jewelry out of his home and at artist markets around the holidays for years but wanted a website where he could showcase his latest works and sell pieces online when he had them available.  Due to the fact that he often sells out of jewelry, his site had to also function as a place where those that have purchased his works could learn more about the wood that made up their jewelry or contact him if one of his pieces broke.

He also wanted a design that would showcase the beauty of the wood he was using and differentiate him from other jewelry makers in the area by keeping the design simple yet detailed.  Almost every piece has a small story or description from where the wood was located or how he was moved to make a specific shape based on the grane he saw in the wood.

Dinderbeck

Dinderbeck is an artist created, artist run collective that makes strives for a more unified artist community. Dinderbeck’s facilities contain a large range of equipment that any practicing artist would find to be beneficial for creating a variety or work. Dinderbeck needed a website that showcased individual and collective style.  Throughout the site you can find information on the various aspects of the Dinderbeck studio.

Dennis Nagelkirk

Dennis Nagelkirk is a painter, drawer, teacher, designer, publisher, copywriter, brander, consulter, problem solver, thinker, speaker, writer, storyteller, photographer, filmer, interviewer, editor, encourager, learner, builder, worker, connecter, eater and drinker.

No, really.  He does all these things. With such a vast and multidisciplinary body of work, the trick was coming up with a website where users could quickly sift through the colorful images, evoking the feeling of flipping through an art book or flashy design magazine.  You skim until your eyes see something they want to settle on for a moment.  We made it optimized for the iPad and smartphone too.  So wherever and whatever your medium, the site looks clean, smooth and timeless.

The First Day Shoe Fund

The First Day Shoe Fund is a Kalamazoo based non-profit whose mission is to provide new athletic shoes to children in grades K-3 in Kalamazoo County who qualify for free and reduced lunch.  The website was part of GiveCamp Grand Rapids, a weekend-long event where technology professionals – from designers, developers and database administrators to marketers and web strategists – donate their time to provide solutions for non-profit organizations.  A group of five of us helped The First Day Shoe Fund create a clean and simple to update website over the weekend.

Auditrax

Auditrax is a leading provider of procurement and accounts payable auditing with over 25 years in the industry.  Wanting to stay ahead of the competition, they needed a clean look that would make them look both professional and easy to work with.  This project required logo re-adjustment, rebranding, a new color scheme and many new graphics.  This site is also responsive and handles various pdf plugins.

Linda Bassford

Linda Bassford is an amazing illustrator and painter.  With skills varying from large murals to complicated portrait, Linda has made a name for herself creating hyper-realistic images of landscapes, animals and people.  Her old website was static and hard to use.  What Linda needed was an easy to update format to showcase what she has been up to lately.  WordPress was the perfect format for this and with tutorials and some aid from her daughter, Linda will be able to maintint her website from here on out.

Anna Lisa Illustration

Anna Lisa Schneider is an artist located in Fennville, MI.  A recent graduate from the College for Creative Studies out of Detroit Anna Lisa is creating freelance work for various clients and is a full time employee at New Holland Brewing Company to develop their print and web media.  What Anna Lisa needed was to have a site that would very simply and easily showcase a variety of her work.  Taking a cue from art shows, I felt the white background made her work pop.  We also reformatted her resume from a pdf format into a dynamic one that linked to other places on the web.

Tony Savickas

Tony Savickas is a motivational speaker, writer and blogger located in the Grand Rapids, MI, area.  His site is a membership website, requiring forums, logins, registration, and different payment methods.  The design is simple and clean, meant to highlight the motivational content.  We used Magic Members as a method of keeping track of the various memberships and logins.  This site is also responsive.

Quality Model & Pattern

Quality Model & Pattern is a Grand Rapids based model and pattern fabricator.  This website needed to clean up their look. With all sorts of different parts and fixtures, they needed an easy way to showcase that variety while still having continuity to the design of the site. With a change in logo, font, color scheme, and SEO, the site will be easier to find and navigate through. This site is also responsive.

Waffle Pants

Waffle Pants, aka David Napierkowski, is based out of Portland, OR.  He DJs at the House of Sound, a radio station presenting a changing lineup of Portland’s latest and greatest electronic music.  David was running into the problem of having so many different pages on the internet showcasing what he was producing, but he didn’t have a landing page where people could find those links.

This site features Waffle Pants’ favorite beets from his Soundcloud page and some of his pictures of his time in the DJ-ing studio at House of Sound. With his website I really focused on keeping everything as simple as possible while still showing a lot of his style.

UP Pasties Company

UP Pasties Company has just opened a new location up in Traverse City, showcasing some of the same great quality pasties and pot pies as it’s location in Plymouth.  Unlike the other locations, UP Pasties TC would only sell its pasties at farmers markets and special events and needed a way for people to purchase their pasties online.  This site is responsive, simple and utilizes some of the same elements of their main site while giving it a fresh new look.

Tri Cities Chiro

Tri Cities Chiropractic  is a small chiropractic business located up in Midland, MI. The owner, Dr. Howard Stafford, does in-home visitation to his clients and provides the Torque Releasee Technique of Chiropractic. He needed both to get across the fact that he utilizes a different method of chiropractic than most other doctors do and that he is safe to have in people’s homes.

I created a calming page that was very simple and crisp and would help visitors feel at ease when he came to make a house call.

Abbey Elaine

Abbey Elaine Blogget is a maker of many things.  Helping develop the fine crafted brews at Founders Brewing Company, she keeps her hands busy at work and at home.  From a variety of unique earrings, rings, bracelets, etc., she needed a website that would be easy to update and showcase what she was working on.  Abbey had been using another website builder that severely restricted her ability to really showcase her work properly.  She needed a way to bring together her work, her blog, and other information about what she is doing.  We also wanted to create her site in a responsive framework that would showcase her work well on mobile, tablet and desktop computer.

Yummy Pita

Yummy Pita is a garlic based spread created in Grand Rapids, MI. The site needed to be responsive and have a very simple design that highlighted the logo, nutrition information, and contact information.
